Organising meetings: hey I’m walkin’ here!

If you find yourself in a world where people are considerate enough to review your calendar before sending meeting invites, you may find that those meetings still don’t suit as you are travelling between physical locations.

This is more common than not as people tend to leave themselves gaps between meetings for travel time — but don’t actually put that time in their calendar. As a result, they may be booked in for a video call when they are driving.
It’s not reasonable to expect that organisers of meetings will look at the contents of an attendees meeting before scheduling around it — they will simply look for the gap.

Putting a travel appointment in your calendar doesn’t mean you are necessarily unavailable for a meeting, it just changes the type of meeting options available to the organiser.
